Let's get started! Oh! Excuse me,
I'm just getting a call. Hi, Aurora! My name's Andy, and I have a problem with
AdSense application. My site has been rejected. Sorry, I'm just on the other
line. What's the delivery timeline like on that? Yeah, I'd like to have launched as
soon as possible. Yeah. Deep pan, extra-large. Margarita!Sorry about that
Aurora. Can you help? Well, Andy, funnily enough, you called at exactly the right
time.
I'll certainly do my best to help you with the launch of your site. The
AdSense site approvals process exists so that Google can help make browsing the
Internet safer, more rewarding experience, for everyone! It's important to us
that every AdSense page is easy to navigate while offering unique, quality
information. Importantly, it contributes to a healthy ecosystem, by protecting
users and advertisers. We also want to make sure that you do not have policy issues after you've started monetizing your published content on your... pizza
website? Yes...My pizza website...But what if I already know my content is good and safe, and all the stuff you said...Does that just mean I'm stuck forever in
rejection purgatory? Of course not! And this is what I was about to discuss.
If
like Andy, you're a first-time publisher, or if your site has been rejected for policy reasons, this series will help you understand what you need to do so that
your site can get approved more easily. You can check each stage by systematically going through the approval guidelines. Okay! So back to basics
then. How does this system work? Well, Google uses a combination of human and automated systems to review sites. Within your AdSense account, you can click on sites to check on the current status of your site, or submit a new site for
review.
Either your site will be listed as "needs attention," meaning
there is some issue that needs fixing, or "getting ready," meaning we're
still running some checks. This can take a couple of days to a couple of weeks, depending
on the site. If your site is listed as "ready!"Then you're ready to
go!Absolutely! And then, each publisher just needs to continue to follow the AdSense program policies, to continue showing ads. And you'll be able to monetize your pizza website, no problem! Erm... great!
So can you remind me what kindof
policies we are talking about? I definitely read them the first time...No
worries! Let me remind you. Throughout this series, I'll cover site ownership and
basic checks, site traffic, content quality, navigation, and site rejections. Yeah,
I do need to soak all this up! That's right! Feel free to comment us so that we can help you better understand
our program policies. Until the next episode, goodbye! Thanks so much for your
help, Aurora! This launch is going to be delicious! I mean, seamless...Goodbye!.
