Residents of Jampur have been campaigning for Jampur district for the last 30 years. In the PTI government, Mr. Sardar Mohsin Khan Leghari, MPA Jampur, and Provincial Minister for Irrigation have submitted a petition for Jampur district in the Provincial Assembly. Former IG Punjab Sardar Akhtar Gurchani has also submitted various petitions to the government. The efforts of the District Building Movement are also commendable.
It is learned that 5 new districts are being added in South Punjab, including Taunsa, Kot Addu, Shujaabad, Ahmadpur Sharqiya, and Chishtian.

We request that Dajjal, Mari, and Muhammadpur be made tehsils and Jampur be given district status, for which only the executive order of the Chief Minister or the Governor has to be signed, or if a throw-in proprietor is to be acted upon, write a report to the Assistant Commissioner.
